headspace – Providing FREE confidential health services for young people aged 12 – 25 across Mackay region.

headspace is an inclusive service and does not discriminate regardless of age, race, cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, gender or disability. 

headspace  is about making sure young people have the best support, information, and services for their health and wellbeing including physical health, mental health, drug and alcohol issues, employment and education support.

Call us on (07) 4898 2200, drop-in to Level 2, 123 Victoria St during our opening hours, Monday to Friday from 8.30am – 4.30pm or ask your GP for a referral to headspace  Mackay.

Mackay HOG

Mackay and District Harley Owners Group (MAD HOG) is a part of the Australian HOG Organization, which is sponsored by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. The purpose being to promote responsible Harley rider activities for all members, male and female, by encouraging participation in HOG events and challenges.

Being a HOG member is an experience like no other. It’s the pride, dedication, and enthusiasm of genuine people with a genuine interest, a love of all things HOG and Harley Davidson. The Sarina Neighbourhood Centre is located next to the Mackay Regional Council Office based in Sarina.
The Sarina Neighbourhood Centre supports individuals, families and community groups to connect with visiting services and supports located in the Sarina and District community.

The Neighbourhood Hub

The Neighbourhood Hub is a not for profit community organisation operating from both 4 George Street, Mackay and 43 Shakespeare Street, Mackay. The Hub is accessible for children, youth, families and culturally diverse members of our community.

The Hub provides information and referrals to all who need their support. The goal of the Hub is to build resilience and capacity within local Mackay community.

TUFMINDS

TUFMINDS is a mental resilience and suicide prevention program provided by the Exqisit Life Foundation. 

TufMinds helps people to change negative thoughts to positive alternatives, learn mental resilience techniques, learn the art of Mindfulness, learn these processes to lead you on the path to a happier more fulfilling life. 

Whitsunday Counselling and Support Inc.

Is a not for profit community based organisation offering a range of free and confidential services, provided in a safe and respectful environment.
We work towards the prevention and reduction of violence in the community by providing professional support services to people and families who have experienced family violence, sexual assault or are at risk of neglect or abuse.  Specialist family counselling is also available.

Whitsunday Neighbourhood Centre

The Whitsunday Neighbourhood Centre established in 1989, provides services and activities to improve the wellbeing of residents in the Whitsundays. They are located at 14-20 Hazelwood Crescent, Cannonvale. 

YIRS One Stop Youth Shop

YIRS One Stop Youth Shop is a local youth support service which supports young people between 8 – 21 years who may need information, support, advice or assistance around something or anything that is of concern.

The team at YIRS also work with families, friends or anyone who is involved in the young person’s life.
